Guitars - A New Painting

Guitars, December 2010
This painting was done for my father's office.  Originally I had given him a highly stylized charcoal sketch of him playing guitar.  At some point this disappeared and he decided he wanted something to occupy the extremely large blank wall in his office.  In an effort to comply, and also to address the same subject matter, I painted the following.  It feels quite different from my other work - much lighter, more playful.  In person it reminds me of some of Kandinsky's works.

  1. Thanks guys! It was both one of the more difficult and enjoyable pieces I've done in a while. I guess that's just how it goes!
